Taiyuan, June 22 – The Dragon Boat Festival saw a significant increase in the number of tourists traveling from Taiyuan to Beijing and Tianjin, according to reports. China Railway Taiyuan Bureau Group Co., Ltd. announced that on the day of the festival, the company is expected to send over 290,000 passengers, leading to the addition of more trains. The company has arranged 17 group trains, 12 normal-speed trains, and 56 EMUs for reconnection operations, resulting in an increase in the starting passenger seat capacity by approximately 40,000.

To cater to the surge in tourist demand during the Dragon Boat Festival, China Railway Taiyuan Bureau Group Co., Ltd. concentrated its transportation capacity on popular routes such as Taiyuan to Beijing, Tianjin, Yuncheng in Shanxi Province, Salt Lake, Datong Yungang Grottoes, and Pingyao Ancient City. The company added 10 high-speed trains and 10 normal-speed trains between Taiyuan and Datong and Yuncheng to meet the travel needs of passengers.
