TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) admits that there has been an increase in motorcycle sales ahead of Eid 2023. This is due to the fact that many people receive THR (Holiday Allowance) and many promos are also offered by motorcycle manufacturers in the country.
“The tendency for the Eid period will usually increase. That’s why, I’m sure not only Yamaha, everyone is also competing to seize the market there and we are trying to provide sufficient stock,” said Asst. General Manager Marketing & Public Relations of PT YIMM Antonius Widiantoro when met at BSD, South Tangerang, Wednesday, 12 April 2023.
However, Anton did not reveal how much the sales increase was. However, according to him, the increase in sales ahead of Eid has started to occur since March 2023.
“We don’t know the prediction for the increase yet. It’s not even April yet,” he said.
Last March, at the 2023 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), Yamaha recorded sales of motorcycles reaching thousands of units. Although he did not mention exact numbers, it was stated that the All New Yamaha Aerox 155 Connected series and NMAX Connected models were the most ordered by consumers.
