The demand for hepatitis vaccines in the country is increasing. Parents seek to reinforce the immunization picture of their children. This after the alert issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) in the face of cases of acute childhood hepatitis reported in 20 countries. In Ecuador, the Ministry of Health confirmed that there are no cases.
The case The most recent acute childhood hepatitis of unknown origin was reported in Argentina. And so far there are 229 cases in 20 countries.
The Ministry of Public Health confirmed in a statement published on May 6 that there have been no cases of this disease in Ecuador. In addition, he explained that “epidemiological surveillance is maintained throughout the Ecuadorian territory.”
