In a statement, he described that yesterday afternoon a confrontation was reported in the area of coexistence of the prison that led to the mobilization by police forces.
He added that containment protocols were activated within the space, while elements of the State Preventive, Metropolitan (Metropol), Investigation and Road Safety State police were mobilized abroad.
Later, Ismael Camberos Hernández, head of the State Department of Public Security (SSP), reported that an inmate was held there in possession of a firearm, and three other short and white weapons were found, with which the homicides were allegedly perpetrated.
The prisoner who was surprised with the weapon was placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, while the experts of the Zacatecan Institute of Forensic Sciences and Ministerial Police opened an investigation folder to meet those responsible for the killings, as well as those who introduced the artifacts of fire to the prison.
It should be noted that, last Saturday night and Sunday, the Ministry of Public Security carried out a review inside the Cieneguillas Cerereso and the Fresnillo Cereso, where different prohibited objects were found.
