The number of people screened by the Integrated Center for Health and Social Services (CISSS) in Laval has almost doubled in the last week in Laval while the number of COVID -19 related cases in the province continues to increase slightly every day .

On Sunday July 12, 326 people were tested in screening clinics in Laval-des-Rapides and Chomedey.

However, for trips outside Canada, the government requires travelers to make a mandatory quarantine of 14 days.

Telephone line for RPPs

In addition, the Laval CISSS has opened a new telephone line since Thursday, July 9. It is intended for the occupants of a private seniors’ residence (RPA) and their caregivers.

Situation in Laval

As of Tuesday, July 14, the CISSS de Laval has registered only three new cases in its territory.

The new assessment of the number of people infected with COVID-19 increases the Laval count to 5,874 cases and 673 deaths.

A total of 5,087 Laval residents have recovered and 8 employees are still absent from work due to COVID-19.

A total of 15 people are still hospitalized, including another 3 in intensive care.

Two screening clinics are open seven days a week, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. These are located at the Pierre-Creamer (1160, boulevard Pie-X) and Cartier (100, Montée Major) arenas.
