Increase in infection in large parts of Europe – all border regions orange

It was TV 2 who first mentioned the case.

In total, the infection situation is now worse in 36 different areas in Europe. On Friday, the National Institute of Public Health will update its maps, which show which countries and regions where there are extra corona requirements when entering Norway.

In Norway are now Møre og Romsdal, Agder and Oslo orange on ECDC’s map, after being green last week. Troms and Finnmark are still orange. In return, Nordland is now green.

In Denmark, the North Jutland region is red, after being orange last week. Central Jutland and Copenhagen are still red.

Spain almost completely dark red

If you come to Norway from an orange or red region, the requirement is, among other things, that you must be in the entry quarantine. However, this does not apply to fully vaccinated, or those who have undergone covid-19 disease in the last six months. It is also limited who has the right to come to Norway.

Several regions in Spain and France have experienced a worsening infection situation. In Spain, the whole country, with the exception of the Canary Islands and the region of Asturias in the north, is now dark red. The Canary Islands and Asturias are red. Large parts of southern France are now dark red, and several regions further north in the country have gone from orange to red.

Improvement in the Netherlands

For dark red countries, the same restrictions apply as the orange and red ones, but parts of the entry quarantine must be implemented in quarantine hotels.

The entire Greek mainland, with the exception of two border regions in the northwest and northeast, is now red. Crete is still dark red. Iceland now goes from orange to red, as does Tuscany in Italy. For the Netherlands, the situation is somewhat better, as all regions of the country have left the dark red category and returned to red.
