Chinese ports saw cargo throughput growth in January amid the country’s steady economic recovery, according to data from the Ministry of Transportation.
Cargo throughput at ports stood at 1.3 billion tonnes in January, up 0.6 percent year-on-year, according to the ministry.
Last month, container handling volume at Chinese ports rose 1.6 percent from a year earlier to 24.16 million twenty-foot equivalent units, the data showed.
