Incorrect price tags are not uncommon; both buyers and sellers get confused

Complaints about incorrect pricing by food retailers appear regularly on social networks. Traders are accused of cheating and artificially increasing the price of products, deceiving buyers. The Consumer Rights Protection Center (PTAC) also receives complaints about incorrect price tags every other day.

At the moment, traders also have to comply with the requirement to indicate the lowest price of the previous 30 days on the price tag during discounts, about which there is still enough uncertainty.

PTAC receives an average of 15 complaints about incorrect price tags in stores every month. If the complaint provides detailed information about what happened, as well as a photo with a price tag or a receipt, the supervisor requests an explanation from the company about what happened, as well as about the planned actions, so that the violation does not happen again.
