After a remarkable commitment to the Black Lives Matter movement, Rihanna is now protesting against anti-Asian violence.
During a demonstration for the Stop Asian Hate movement, the singer Rihanna slipped incognito in the middle of an angry crowd. Holding up a pink sign, she takes part against the violence that has continued to rage in recent months, both in France and in the United States. Although poorly identified at the start, this upsurge in hatred continues to increase, along with the attacks perpetrated.

Between March 2020 and February 2021, the American nonprofit Stop AAPI Hate, received nearly 3,800 reports of anti-Asian discrimination and violence, 68% of which involved women of Asian descent. These figures were recently illustrated by a shooting perpetrated on March 19, 2021, in a spa in Atlanta causing the death of eight people.
Rihanna was also expressed on Instagram on this occasion, to denounce the brutality of these acts.
