Al-Marsad Newspaper: The list of countries with the highest inflation rates in the world included two Arab countries
This came according to a study prepared by the agency “Novosti” and published on Wednesday. Countries are currently witnessing inflation of two or even three digits in light of the policy of sanctions pursued by the West against Russia, which led to higher energy prices, which fueled prices.
The highest inflation rate was recorded in Zimbabwe (243.8%), Venezuela (234%) and Lebanon (122%), while Argentina ranked fourth with the highest inflation rate in the world, which amounted to 94.8%.
While Sudan ranked fifth with a score of 87.3%, then Turkey ranked sixth with a rate of 64.3%, followed by Sri Lanka with a rate of 59.2%.
The top ten includes Suriname (54.6%), Ghana (54.1%) and Haiti (48.3%), according to the study.
