A controversy implicating the Jehan de Beauce high school in Chartres (Eure-et-Loir) swelled all weekend on social media.
It stems from a post shared on Instagram, of a homophobic nature. The account which relayed these remarks inciting hatred and violence assumed the identity of the Chartres school establishment.
A complaint for identity theft
Sparking many reactions, this Monday, September 6, 2021, management announces that it will file a complaint.
“The students are shocked, three young girls came to bring me screenshots because the account in question no longer exists”, explains the principal of this high school in Chartres, who takes the matter very seriously.
He also contacted the rectorate and the academic inspector.
We cannot tolerate this kind of talk, especially when it is made under our acronym. Who is behind this account must understand that these are serious and reprehensible acts.
” This is very serious “
“That high school students have fun asking on public networks that all high school students must report gays in order to be able to sexually assault them is very serious,” says a former student of Jehan de Beauce.
The principal of the establishment indicates that he has never heard of homophobic remarks or incidents on the sexuality of high school and college students. “Homosexuality does not pose any problem in the establishment, I would even say that it is civic sense.”
