“Incitement is shameful and a sin”… Jabour to Sadiq: “We don’t work for you”!

The head of the Lebanese Forces Party’s media and communications department, Charles Jabbour, responded to the journalist Dima Sadiq in a post on his account on the “X” platform, writing: “I am surprised how a respectable station agrees to give a political program to a person who does not understand politics and talks about compensation for a war that ended decades ago with the agreement of the Lebanese and others.” He is attentive to the Southern Council, its budget, and its compensation, not least in the wars of 93, 96, and 2006.”

He added, “Incitement is shameful and a sin, and what is meant is to say to Hezbollah, ‘Enough is enough, and we are not working for you.'”

Earlier, Sadiq had written on her account on the “X” platform: “The complete rejection of Hezbollah’s monopolization of the decision on peace and war and involving Lebanon in this war absolutely does not justify this logic.”

She added, “You don’t want the state to bear responsibility for the people of the South, and then you are surprised that the South is outside the framework of the state? Well, with this logic, why did the state compensate the displaced people through war? Why is there a Ministry of Displaced Persons? Why did the state pay damages to those whose homes were damaged by the civil party? What war did the militias do? Not The state: Stop the logic of separating the people of the South from the rest of the country, embrace them instead of increasing their alienation from the state.”

On the other hand, the head of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, issued the following statement: “The ten million dollars promised by the government as compensation for the damage caused to citizens and property in the south as a result of the exchange of missile and artillery bombardment between Hezbollah and Israel must be fulfilled.” It is paid by the ministers who voted on this resolution from their pockets, because a majority, a large majority of the Lebanese people did not authorize anyone to fire missiles from Lebanon at Israel in order to preserve its regional role.”

He added, “The exchange of bombings that the south is witnessing is not support for Gaza at all, and the greatest evidence is that the aggression against Gaza has continued and is still continuing. Is it possible that it will cause more destruction to Gaza than it has already done to it? Therefore, what role did the launching of rockets and shells from Lebanon play?”

Geagea continued, “The answer: The role of these missiles and missiles is merely to keep Hezbollah and Iran in the equation of the Arab-Israeli conflict.”
