‘Two summers’ is the name of the new fiction series that One is currently preparing. The psychological thriller is written by Tom Lenaerts and Paul Baeten and the cast includes Koen De Bouw and Kevin Janssens. After that, a worldwide release awaits on Netflix.

It all started thirty years ago: a couple in their early twenties want to party for a holiday before the serious life begins, but that goes wrong when one of them is killed in an incident. Thirty summers later, An and Peter, the most successful couple in the group, invite the same friends to celebrate An’s birthday on an island off the Côte d’Azur. But then a video of the fateful evening of yesteryear emerges, which puts everything in a new light. Immediately everyone is suspicious and trust is completely lost.

two summers will therefore take place on two time levels: in the present and in the 90s. This leads to two different casts. On the one hand there are roaring names such as Koen De Bouw, Kevin Janssens, Ruth Becquart, Inge Paulussen, Herwig Ilegems, An Miller and Tom Vermeir. Their younger selves are played by Tijmen Govaerts, Tine Roggeman, Lukas Bulteel, Vincent Van Sande and Louise Berger, among others. You can come home with that.
The screenplay was written by Tom Lenaerts and Paul Baeten, who, after the success of About water join hands again. Lenaerts himself also directs, together with Brecht Vanhoenacker. Most of the shooting has now been completed, a few more shooting days will follow in the autumn.
two summers is a Panenka production for One, co-produced with Netflix. The series will be shown on TV in 2022 and will also be released worldwide by the streaming service afterwards.
