Incidence value of 200 exceeded: further restrictions necessary

In the past three days, over 100 new infections with the corona virus have been registered in the Pinneberg district. 641 people became infected in the last 7 days. This means that the incidence value of 200, which is decisive for determining further measures, is exceeded.

About 30 percent of the infections can be traced back to several outbreaks in a total of 11 care facilities in Elmshorn, Pinneberg, Tornesch, Uetersen, Wedel, Halstenbek and Rellingen. However, 70 percent of the new infections in the past 7 days are due to a diffuse infection process. This means that people in the Pinneberg district continue to be infected with the virus, despite the current lockdown. The extent to which possible forms of mutations also play a role is still open. So far, three suspected cases from the district have been analyzed in more detail. The results are still pending. Particular focuses for the infections can be seen in the cities of Elmshorn, Pinneberg, Tornesch and Wedel and the municipality of Halstenbek. This corresponds to the locations of the affected care facilities.

In its daily management report of January 23, the RKI points out exactly this situation: There are outbreaks in various districts across Germany which, according to the data transmitted to the RKI, are currently mainly in connection with retirement and nursing homes, private households and the professional environment stand. In addition, there is a diffuse spread of SARS-CoV-2 infections in the population in numerous circles, without the chains of infection being clearly traceable. The exact area of the infection can often not be determined. Older people are currently very often affected by COVID-19. Since they also suffer more severe disease courses, the number of serious cases and deaths remains at a high level.

The Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Youth, Family and Senior Citizens decided in a decree of January 8th that the districts and urban districts must take further measures from an incidence value of> 200 per 100,000 inhabitants.

“We are now implementing the ministry’s decree and are taking up some of the measures mentioned there, which will be implemented by January 31 should apply ”explains District Administrator Elfi Heesch.

“The measures aim, on the one hand, to provide greater protection for people who are particularly at risk, and, on the other hand, to further reduce contact with all people. I am aware that these measures mean a further encroachment on the rights of freedom for the people in the Pinneberg district. I hope that we do not have to prolong these measures. However, this can only be achieved if we strictly adhere to the contact restrictions and the well-known AHA + L rules. I wish that we all deal with it in a very disciplined manner. Most of them are already acting in an exemplary manner and have massively shut down their social contacts for a long time. We all have to hold out together now. “

“The health system is very busy, employees work with full commitment. In view of the high incidence rates in our district, we ask everyone to comply with the guidelines for containing the virus. Everyone must do their part so that we can master the current challenges together, ”adds Dr. Stefan Sudmann, head of the central emergency department and head of the crisis team at the Regio Kliniken, explained the situation.

“Every further infection is one infection too many. We are still working flat out to trace all infection routes and contacts as completely as possible. With the new general decree, we hope to be able to curb the development and hope for the solidarity of our fellow citizens ”, said Dr. Angelika Roschning, head of the health department in the Pinneberg district.

The district is therefore issuing a further general decree, which is valid from Monday 25 January up to and including Sunday 31 January. This regulates in detail:
