71 new corona cases in Freiburg.
(r). The seven-day incidence in Freiburg is now three-digit. On Thursday evening, the State Health Office reported the official value of 109 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days. In the previous week the value was 61.4 cases. The health department located at the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district office listed 399 active infections on its weekly overview – that is 78 percent more than on the last reference date last week. And the numbers remain high: On Thursday, 71 new corona infections were added in Freiburg and 62 in the district. The number of deaths remains unchanged at 159 – 81 people have died of Covid-19 in the city since the beginning of the pandemic, and 78 in the district.
Twelve Covid-19 patients are currently being treated in the university clinic, five of whom have to be ventilated. There are five coronavirus infected people in the Diakoniekrankenhaus, one patient is ventilated. The St. Josef Hospital reports five people with Covid 19, one needs ventilation.
