Incidence in Berlin rises again over 100 – Federal emergency brake remains in effect this week

The hope of a quick exit from the federal emergency brake has been dashed in Berlin for the time being: The incidence rose to 100.8 on Monday, so the rules of the federal law such as the night curfew remain in effect this week.

The 7-day incidence of new corona infections has risen to over 100 again in Berlin. The RKI Dashboard stated the value on Monday morning as 100.8. The Management report of the Senate confirmed this figure. If the incidence is over 100, the provisions of the federal emergency brake – for example the night curfew – cannot be overridden this week.

Nationwide, the Robert Koch Institute reported 6,922 new corona cases on Monday morning, 2,238 fewer than on Monday a week ago. The seven-day incidence, at 119.1, remained roughly the same as the previous day (118.6), which, according to the RKI, results from differences in the statistical survey. In Brandenburg the incidence decreased from 89.1 to 88.1.
