The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 24th that it has confirmed wide-area transportation measures for Gyeyang in Incheon and Daejang District in Bucheon, including these details.

First of all, the S-BRT, which connects Gimpo Airport Station-Gyeyang District-Daejang District-Bucheon Sports Complex, will be built. This is an upgraded BRT system that runs without stopping between stops like subways through signal system control.

The S-BRT is linked to neighboring subway lines 5, 7 and 9, the airport railroad, and the metropolitan area express railroad (GTX)-B. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport plans to significantly increase road capacity by expanding National Route 39 and Ojeong-ro, and constructing Gyeongmyeong-daero. In addition, it is planning to increase accessibility to Gyeyang Techno Valley by expanding Jangje-ro in Gyeyang-gu and adding an additional IC on the Incheon Airport Expressway.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport has announced the location and prepared transportation measures to minimize traffic inconvenience when moving into the 3rd new city, and decided on traffic measures at least 16 months earlier than before. In the case of Gyeyang and Daejang districts, they explained that they have prepared integrated transportation measures in consideration of their proximity to each other.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will also shorten land compensation by more than 10 months in order to expand the housing supply in the third new city early. The government announced that in order to hurry up the creation of the 3rd new town, the’Fast-Track’, which combines district planning and land compensation, has been applied to reduce the time taken to start compensation by an average of 10 months or more.

When comparing the period from designation of housing district to commencement of compensation, it took an average of 27 months for Pangyo, Seongnam, the second new city, and 30 months for Wirye, but 14 months for Gyosan, Hanam, and 14 months for Gyeyang, Incheon. It is reducing an average of 17 months.

Namyangju Wangsuk, Hanam Gyosan, and Incheon Gyeyang announced compensation in August of last year, and the compensation process is currently in progress, while Generals Changneung and Bucheon of Goyang are planning to announce it in the first half of this year. Namyangju Wangsuk, Hanam Gyosan, and Incheon Gyeyang prepared a district plan last October, and plans to be finalized in the first half of this year.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to implement a pre-subscription system that provides 1 to 2 years before this subscription in the case of the 3rd new city, shortening the housing supply period by an average of 4 years and 9 months compared to the existing new city to provide early supply.
