Hairdressers reopened their doors today throughout Spain at the start of Phase 0 of the coronavirus de-escalation. In The Independent We have gone to the Madrid neighborhood of Bellas Vistas, a few steps from the Glorieta de Cuatro Caminos, where there are almost more hairdressers than locals. “There is more to offer than people to cut hair, but we Latinos take care of our heads more on the outside than on the inside,” jokes a hairdresser as he cleans up a pin on Carolinas Street. This has been the return of hairdressing salons in one of the most Latino neighborhoods in Madrid.
