Incentive for pre-employment cards is disbursed IDR 5.7 Trillion for 4.9 Million Participants

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Implementing Management of the Pre-Work Card Program stated that it had disbursed an incentive budget of Rp. 5.7 trillion.

The incentive is given to 4.9 million participants who have completed the first training.

Meanwhile, of the Rp 20 trillion budget that has been planned for program implementation, as much as Rp 13.45 trillion has been specifically allocated for participant incentives.

Executive Director of PMO Prakerja Cards Denni Puspa Purbasari explained that the realization of incentive disbursement was still low because the disbursement of incentives was done monthly. The amount is IDR 600,000 for each participant per month.

“Why not a lot? Because the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation (Permenko) states, we distribute Rp. 600,000 per month, yes per month, it cannot be carried all at once,” he said in an online discussion, Tuesday (3/11/2020).

Overall, pre-employment card participants will receive a training completion incentive of Rp. 2.4 million which will be given in four consecutive months.

Denni explained that the provision of training on a monthly basis to reduce the risk of money being spent by the pre-work participants is automatically given if it is given only in one month.

“This, according to the economist, is also a good thing because every month you can get the expectation that there will be government support of Rp. 600,000. If you are in the Executing Agency, people are quick to spend and in the second month there will be less money,” he said.

Denni also said that as of November 3, the number of participants who had completed the first training in the Pre-Work Card program was 4.94 million people.

In addition to pre-training incentives, Pre-employment Card participants also receive training assistance money of IDR 1 million and survey filling fees of IDR 150,000 for three training sessions. Thus, the amount of assistance provided by the government to Pre-Work Card participants reached IDR 3.55 million.

As for the Rp 20 trillion that has been budgeted for program implementation, the details are Rp. 5.6 trillion for training costs, Rp. 13.45 trillion incentives, Rp. 840 billion for survey funds, and Rp. 100 million for the Project Management Office (PMO).
