Inauguration of “Green Goddess Reloaded” at the Zapopan Art Museum

Photography: Government of Zapopan

Guadalajara Jalisco.

The Zapopan Art Museum opens the exhibition “Green Goddess Reloaded” under the curatorship of Dorothée Dupuis, who, initially, presented it in 2019 at a festival of visual arts in France, and later, have the opportunity to rethink it to exhibit it at the MAZ with local and foreign artists.

“The idea was to create a kind of kinesthetic landscape that mixes figures of the human body, metaforms of nature, there are even real plants, rocks, coconut, water, ruins, interior landscapes of bodies, things found in the market. The idea is to relate to things that we know but that are formulating new things ”.

The title of the exhibition for the Zapopan Art Museum, “The green goddess reloaded”, which will be on display until August 15, is a nod to the film saga The Matrix, and seeks to reinforce both the reference to technology and pop culture in general, this as a framework of visual artistic production. It includes installations, pictorial work, projections, plastic art and monumental sculpture by 22 Mexican and foreign artists, and most of them emerging.

The MAZ is open to the public for free from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00.
