The III Edition of Alicante Gastronomica has opened its doors this morning at the facilities of the Institución Ferial Alicantina. It is the most powerful and complete program of the fair that, in just three editions, has established itself as the largest experiential fair in our country.
For four days, until next Monday, September 27, the fairground will host activities such as the XIV Spanish Tortilla Championship, great wine tastings, as well as quality products from the province. In addition, there will be tastings of the most recognized elaborations of some of the great chefs with Michelin stars and attendees will be able to enjoy exhibitions such as the elaboration of the largest nougat tablet in the world.
All this in a space that doubles its surface and the number of exhibitors, more than 250, a hundred more than in the previous edition. Likewise, it has extended the weekend hours until midnight to offer dinners and live music.
The director of the Alicante Fair Institution, Esther Guilabert, has been positive with the reception from the public and has highlighted the inauguration of Alicante Gastronómica as the step to return to normality and resume the fair calendar of the institution. Guilabert has highlighted that the gastronomic event kicks off but that until the end of the year there are ten events that complete the program of the space.
The mayor of Elche, Carlos González, has been optimistic about the return of the Alicante Gastronomic fair to IFA and affirms that it is the beginning of the return to normality that will lead to the economic reactivation and the recovery of the social dynamics that the Elche society needs to.
