Riga, January 13, LETA. The drama “Parts of a Woman” by the Hungarian playwright Kata Weber, directed by Ināra Slucka, will be premiered at the Great Hall of the Latvian National Theater on February 10, Lolita Grāvīte, a theater representative, told LETA.
Introducing the production, Grāvīte noted that among other meanings of the “part” of a woman, there are also social roles – in this show, a woman is a lover, wife, daughter, sister, mother, cousin, sister-in-law, best friend and also a competitor. All these roles are played at the family dinner table, where not only family problems but also current issues in the society that employ people in their daily lives are revealed.
Commenting on the choice of the play, director Slucka emphasized that she is a female director, so it is only self-evident that the themes of the performances will always be related to the woman’s worldview or will always be seen by the audience.

The roles in the show are played by Laura Siliņa, Jānis Āmanis, Esmeralda Ermale, Sanita Paula, Gundars Grasbergs, Ieva Aniņa and Jana Ļisova.
