Mexico City. The president of the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI), Adrián Alcalá Méndez, assured this Saturday that in the dialogue that the members of the autonomous organization will hold with the government of President Claudia Sheinabaum Pardo they will present a restructuring and modernization plan of the institute.
After this week the president opened the door to dialogue with the INAI, an organization whose disappearance is contemplated in a constitutional reform initiative sent to Congress by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Alcalá Méndez pointed out that the institute is willing to modernize that allows them to continue in operation.
Sheinbaum Pardo said in his morning press conference on Thursday that it is feasible to talk with the organization about the possibility of reducing its structure, but he asserted that in reality the INAI has many associated problems. He added that its members can meet with the Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez.
“From @INAImexico we recognize the opportunity for dialogue that President @Claudiashein gives us, so that through the Secretary of the Interior @rosaicela_, they know our restructuring plan,” said Alcalá Méndez on platform X.
He added that in the plan that they will present to the federal government “we confirm the value of the institute, modernizing its operation in favor of the transformation that our society demands.”
