With the participation of 80 high school students from the city, the Propedeutic 2023 program began in person, carried out by INACAP Calama Headquarters and which will last until September of this year.
The objective of this program is to provide the tools for 4th grade students to achieve good performance in Higher Education, reinforcing the basic and generic competencies that they have been acquiring throughout their educational process and that are essential to lower the rates. failure and desertion in their higher studies.
The program consists of 14 sessions and the subjects of Global Competences, Communicative Dimension and Mathematical Thinking will be taught by teachers: Gerardo Castro Cortés, Miguel Rivera Palma and Rodrigo Fuentes Lillo. Classes are held on Saturdays, from 09:00 to 14:00.
The student of the Don Bosco Industrial Technical College, Benjamín Pinto Rojas, pointed out that “it is a great opportunity that INACAP offers us, I am going to make the most of this program that will allow me to reinforce my knowledge and live with others”
The Coordinator of the Propedeutic program, Nataly Hurtado Castillo, highlighted the commitment of the students, together with their parents, for filling a vacancy in the program. “There was a great call for students from the different establishments and in the pre-selection process, they showed responsibility and great interest, therefore, we have 10 establishments participating in this program that will be very beneficial for them,” she pointed out.
