After his visit to Vilnius, Lithuania, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is today in Warsaw where he will meet at 12:15 (Greece time) with his Polish counterpart Donald Tusk.
Afterwards, the two leaders will make statements to the press.
It is the first visit of a Greek prime minister to Poland since 2011. At the meeting of the two leaders, all issues of European interest are expected to be discussed, in view of the extraordinary European Council next week.
Messrs. Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Donald Tusk, the two prime ministers who have signed Ursula von der Leyen’s candidacy for a second term at the presidency of the European Commission, will put on the carpet:
-Issues of regional and international interest, with a focus on the latest developments in Ukraine and the Middle East.
-Issues concerning the strategy of the European People’s Party in the run-up to the European elections.
-The next day for Europe.
Last night, Mr. Mitsotakis participated in the working dinner of European leaders organized by Charles Michel for consultations on the Strategic Agenda of the European Union, in view of the upcoming European Council.
