During the past day, in the period from March 2 at 6.30 a.m. until March 3 at At 6.30, the Vidzeme regional administration of the State Fire and Rescue Service received three calls – two for firefighting and one for rescue work.
In the afternoon Burtnieku parish of Valmiera region a tractor burned in an area of 0.5 m². The fire was extinguished before the arrival of firefighters.
at 17.23 firefighters and rescuers went to Jeru parish of Valmiera county, where the roof of a two-story residential house with a full area of 130 m² was on fire. Two people evacuated the building before firefighters arrived. Work at the scene ended at 23.12.

During the entire 24-hour period in Latvia, VUGD received 31 calls – 14 for firefighting, 14 for rescue work, but three calls were false.
