During the past days, in the period from April 28 at 6:30 a.m. until May 2 at At 6:30 a.m., the Vidzeme Region Administration of the State Fire and Rescue Service received 22 calls – 13 for firefighting, and six for rescue work, and three more were false calls.
Friday at 15.04 VUGD received a call to Galgauska parish of Gulbene county, where in a two-story hangar-type building near the heating boiler, hay and household goods in an area of 3m² were burning. at 15.57 fire extinguished.
at 19.47 firefighters and rescuers received a call to Valka parish of Valka county, where waste burned in an area of 4m². at 20.04 fire eliminated.
Saturday at At 14.40 VUGD received a call to Litene parish of Gulbene county, where a tree was burning in an area of 2m². at 15.51 fire extinguished.
at 16.55 VUGD received a call to Gruntzāle parish of Smiltene county, where a tractor burned in an area of 10m². at 18.46 fire extinguished.
at At 19.00 a call was received to Brivibas Street in Gulbene, where a 40m² spruce hedge was burning. at 19.29 fire extinguished.
Sunday at At 2:32 p.m., the help of firefighters was needed Tiruma street in Salacgrīvā, where a 4m² electricity pole was on fire. at 16.34 fire extinguished.
During the past holidays, six fires were extinguished:
- Friday afternoon Park Street in Gulbene, where the bundle was burning in an area of 100m² and in another place in an area of 200m²;
- On Friday Jūrmala street in Salacgrīvā 300m² in area;
- Sunday Limbažu district Salacgrīva parish 30m² in area;
- yesterday Vijciem parish of Valka county 1m² in area (liquidated before VUGD’s arrival).
- Tuesday night Ranka Parish, Gulbene County, where the fire at Gauja was burning in several places on an area of 2000m².
The help of firemen was also needed on Saturday Valmiera county in Plāņi parish, where oil had spilled on the roadway. Using an absorbent, it was collected and the driving part of the road was arranged.
Yesterday the call was also received to Vidrižu parish of Limbažu county, where soot was burning in the chimney of a two-story residential house in an area of 0.2m².
In the past four days, VUGD received 239 calls – 126 for extinguishing fires, including 26 for extinguishing forest fires and eight for extinguishing forest fires, 75 for rescue operations, but 38 calls were false.
