In Valledupar they guarantee tranquility for the territorial elections

In accordance with the conclusions of the last Electoral Monitoring Committee, in Valledupar the security strategy is defined in order to protect the day and protect the constitutional guarantees of citizens, parties and political movements.

In this sense, the Public Force launched the ‘Democracy Plan’ to exercise surveillance and control before, during and after the elections. Likewise, a Unified Command Post (PMU) will be installed in the coming days that will be linked to the National Government and will promote the immediate reaction of the institutions to any irregularity that violates the process.

In this sense, Lieutenant Colonel Elber Benítez Camargo, commander of the Mobility, Countermobility and Survival Engineer Battalion No. 70, said that “The National Army, headed by the BIMOC Battalion No. 70 and La Popa, will have around 500 men. committed to the security of 17 voting stations in the rural area, where the deployment of troops is 95% to guarantee the right to vote.”
