In Ukraine, they will no longer turn off the light, but there is a nuance (video)

According to Volodymyr Kudrytsky, head of the board of NPC Ukrenergo, the plans of the corporation to give light to every home may be hindered by new missile attacks from the Russian Armed Forces.

In the coming days, Ukraine’s energy system is not threatened with a deficit. And this means that in people’s houses they will not turn off the light, declared Volodymyr Kudrytsky, head of the board of NPC Ukrenergo, on the air of the national telethon on February 19.

Ukrenergo does not predict a power shortage in the coming days. We see the ability of the energy system to cover the consumption of existing electricity generation by power plants,” Kudritsky said.

According to him, the only thing that can turn away from this forecast is new massive rocket attacks on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure by the Russian military.

However, Kudrytsky assured that Ukrenergo was preparing for such a scenario.

Blackouts in Ukraine: what is the current situation with electricity

According to Vladimir Kudritsky, in some regions the state of the networks does not allow 100% to provide power to certain cities. First of all, we are talking about Odessa. Restoration work is underway there, which will allow to eliminate all malfunctions in the coming weeks.

Recall that on February 17, Ukrenergo told how it was possible to overcome the energy shortage in Ukraine. According to Vladimir Kudritsky, now large-scale production works on imported electricity. Warm, snowless weather also plays a role.

Focus also wrote that NPC “Ukrenergo” has already begun preparations for the next heating season. It is the preparation, according to the head of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky, that helps to withstand Russian attacks. He hopes that next winter will be much easier for Ukrainians.
