In Ukraine, the rules for subsidies have been tightened: who will be left without help

In Ukraine, from May 1, new rules for assigning subsidies are in effect. Those Ukrainians who buy currency in the amount of UAH 50,000 or more or have purchased a car will not be able to apply for help. In addition, earnings from bank deposits will also be taken into account in income.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Social Policy of the Kyiv City State Administration (KGG) spoke about this on the air of Ukraine 24. Maxim Buchenko, transfers “Word and Deed.”

“They don’t get rid of subsidies. It means that if a citizen has a certain amount of money for which he buys the same currency, then the question is why they don’t go to pay for utilities, but demand help from the state … million hryvnias, and at the same time they say that they cannot pay for utilities – this is socially unfair, “Buchenko said.

The official also stressed that the subsidies are intended primarily for the socially unprotected segments of the population of Ukraine.

“People here began to flirt a little, hide their expenses and talk about the fact that we cannot pay for utilities, but at the same time we buy a car for $ 20,000,” said the representative of the Kyiv City State Administration.

In addition, Buchenko told how many people can be left without subsidies under the new rules. “If we take in Kiev, then we have 100,000 citizens who use today … There will be 99.9 thousand citizens who will use. Others – 0.1%, will not receive,” he summed up.

New rules for calculating subsidies:

  • will take into account income from deposits;

  • will study who traveled abroad, bought currency or bank metals;

  • the cancellation will be made by the commissions that made the decision on the appointment of subsidies.

As previously reported OBOZREVATEL:

  • in the Verkhovna Rada on April 13, at an extraordinary meeting, a number of proposals for tariff changes to a communal apartment. The innovations could have affected the prices for electricity and gas, but all proposals failed.

  • Gas suppliers in Ukraine from April 1, 2021 can set any prices for blue fuel without restriction of the Cabinet. As a result, several companies decided to raise the tariff from 6.99 to 8.25-8.85 UAH per cubic meter.
