In Ukraine, a record number of children fell ill with coronavirus per day – almost one thousand. About it stated Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Health, Medical Assistance and Health Insurance, MP Mikhail Radutsky on Facebook.
“Over the past day in Ukraine found 18,132 cases of COVID-19. This is the largest number of new patients during the entire pandemic … Another record – 923 children fell ill per day. Coronavirus disease is getting younger and more and more often affects children, “wrote the People’s Deputy.
He added that most often children carry the infection in a mild form, remaining carriers of the disease.
Such a number of new COVID cases in children, according to Radutsky, should lead local authorities to the decision to send schoolchildren to distance learning.
“We see that the third wave of coronavirus disease” covered “the whole of Europe. In Ukraine, the epidemiological situation is difficult, but currently under control,” – said Radutsky.
