A group of Moldovan citizens returned from Turkey on Monday, allegedly after training to prepare for riots during protests in the capital organized by the pro-Russian Shor party.
As writes “European Truth”this information, citing sources on Monday, was announced by the TV channel TV8.
According to the channel, “dozens of young people from Chisinau and several regions of Moldova” spent three days in a Turkish resort, where they received special training, and returned to the airport in the Turkish capital on Monday.
A TV8 crew caught “several athletic men exiting the airport and heading towards the minibuses waiting for them in the parking lot.” “Some of them tried to cover their faces, while others ran away so as not to get into the camera lens,” the report says.
It is noted that the passengers of the Chisinau-Istanbul flight, on which the mentioned Moldovans were traveling, stood at the checkpoint for almost two hours. Border police officials were unable to provide details of the reasons for the delay.
At the same time, they reported that four foreign citizens were denied entry to Moldova on the grounds that they do not meet the entry conditions.
At the request of TV8, the Information and Security Service of Moldova stated that they were checking the information voiced by the channel.
“We are unable to provide further details at this time as investigations are still ongoing. We also confirm that, within its legal authority, the Service investigates any elements that threaten national security while respecting the rule of law,” it added.
Representatives of the Shor political party also reacted, calling on them not to be associated “with destabilization scenarios in which only PAS (the party in power in Moldova) is interested in order to keep itself in power by force.”
Recall, Moldovan President Maia Sandu said on February 13 that Russia plans with the help of opposition protests and involving people with military training, as well as citizens of Russia, Belarus, Serbia and Montenegro, attacks on government buildings and a change of power in Moldova.
Belgrade, in response, demanded from Moldova evidence that they wanted to involve saboteurs from Serbia in the “Kremlin’s plan”. Subsequently, Serbian fans were not allowed into Moldova, and then Montenegrin boxers.
