There is currently a basic wage of $7.25 USD per hour in the United States of America. But in most states of the nation they have different salaries established, according to their particular laws.
Specifically in Illinois, workers over the age of 18 are paid $13.00 USD each hour. Employees under that age can earn up to $10.50 USD per hour.
Residents over 18 years of age have access to 60% of their salary for tips, which represent $7.80 USD. Young people who are below 18 in their age also get 60% of the income from additional earnings. This value is equivalent to $6.30 USD for each hour.
The salary increase is supported by law

Come January 1 of next year, the minimum wage will increase to $14.00 USD per hour. In 2025, it is expected that $15.00 USD will be paid.
The city with the largest population in Illinois, Chicago, has the highest salary in the state. This city pays $15.40 USD per hour this year in work centers that have 21 workers. Companies that have less than 21 workers have a salary of $14.50 USD and residents under 18 years of age charge $12.00 USD.
