Al-Marsad Newspaper: The researcher, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Lughbi, revealed the areas where cancer rates are high in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, explaining that the “Asir” region is one of the most famous of these areas .
Al-Lughbi said in an intervention with the Al-Ekhbariya channel that the southern region, over the course of 20 years, accounted for nearly 13% of the incidence of cancer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
And continued, nearly every 10 cases diagnosed in the Kingdom, one case is diagnosed in the South.
And he added, the increase that attracted attention and that was unexpected is the big increase in two decades: if we divide it into administrative regions, then only Asir has increased by 230%, while Jazan, Al-Baha and others were 50 or 40%. .
