In these entities the liter of gasoline is sold more expensive

At the beginning of 2020, Mexico City became one of the entities in which it sells the most face the Magna gasoline.

In the first month of the year, each liter of this fuel, which is the most consumed in the country, was sold up to 1.09 pesos above the national average estimated by the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), of 19.52 pesos.

In this way, users who inhabit or transit Mexico City paid an average of 20.61 pesos per liter of Magna gasoline.

In this town, 379 service stations operate, representing 2.9% of the total universe of these businesses, of which 12,653 were added as of January 30, 2020.

In terms of consumption, the CDMX demand around 84.1 thousand barrels per day of gasoline, that is, 11% of the national total.

The list of federative entities that offer the most expensive Magna is headed by Baja California Sur, which in the first month of the year registered a price of 20.76 pesos per liter, that is, 1.24 pesos more than the national average.

In this state, 175 gas stations operate that sell approximately 8.4 thousand barrels per day.

The third site is occupied by Jalisco, where users paid 20.58 pesos per liter or 1.06 pesos more than the national average.

This entity concentrates the operation of the largest number of service stations in the country, with 938 businesses and an average sales volume of 45.4 thousand barrels a day of Magna gasoline.

According to the regulatory body responsible for the fuel market, the list responds to price increases recorded in the first month of the year.

The monthly price follow-up carried out by the CRE reveals that in January 2020, the national average price of gasoline suffered increases of 70 cents per liter in the case of Magna-type fuel; 63 cents the Premium, and 70 cents the diesel, compared to the first month of last year.

The movement in the prices of automotive fuels observed meant an increase of 3.4% in January compared to the same month of 2019.

At the end of the first month of 2020, users paid a national average price of 19.52 pesos for each liter of Magna gasoline, while in the same period of 2019 they disbursed 18.81 pesos.

For each liter of Premium gasoline, 20.83 pesos were allocated, compared to 20.19 pesos in January 2019.

The carriers, both cargo and passenger, bought each liter of diesel at 21.28 pesos, but at the beginning of 2019 it cost 20.58 pesos.

However, the national average price does not reflect the behavior at the state level.

Regarding the entities in which the price of Premium gasoline was higher, Baja California Sur stands out, where each liter cost 21.95 pesos, 1.12 pesos more expensive than the national average, followed by Quintana Roo.

Also in Baja California Sur, freight and passenger transporters paid for the most expensive diesel in the country, since its price per liter was 22.02 pesos, 74 cents more than the national average, and Durango and Hidalgo follow in order of importance.
