In the world of UEFA, the referee is an Arab woman wearing a hijab, the tactics are explained by a black coach, but the grass can be weeded by a white man
I watch less and less international football, even though ten years ago I was watching even the substitute players of every major Western European team. Maybe it’s the fast running time, maybe it’s the mechanization of modern football, but mostly I only watch the matches of the Hungarian national team, Fradi, my favorite. But always the latter two. However, turning on the TV yesterday, I watched the quarter-final match between Real Madrid and Manchester City in the Champions League. I don’t even want to talk about the match, but about the sensitizing advertisement coming during the break, courtesy of UEFA. I’ve seen a lot in my life, but this brainwashing training stuck in my throat more than usual.
We’ve gotten used to the fact that sport has been under political influence for quite some time, and nobody is talking about it anymore, even though this is very wrong. And what is especially outrageous is that they are trying to brainwash the people with extreme woke, “sensitizing” propaganda, who do not sit down in front of the TV to admire the greatness of Islam and colorful, open societies (the two clash, by the way), but to watch a good game, as presumably their fathers and grandfathers did, only without such entourage. But no, that’s over, and in fact, in recent years, it’s been possible to reach a level, or rather to sink. The advertisement shown during the break of the Champions League quarter-finals was put together by UEFA in the summer of 2023 – that is, the EUROPEAN Football Association, but I only saw it now, it seems that they started to sneak it recently. For those who want to watch international star football, this is what the head of European football has to say:
Just looking at the above-mentioned work is heart-warming, because we begin with the story of an Arab woman adjusting a hijab to the final words of the muezzin’s chanting, who suddenly wakes up and realizes that she is not in the mosque, but officiating a match. The heroine in the hijab blows her whistle, the football can start. That’s how everyone used to do it on the tracks, right? If you think about it, though, it might be common in some English grounds or French suburbs, but we can’t say that it’s common in Europe. Watching a Europa League or Champions League game, it seems that for the time being it is still mostly evil white people blowing the whistle on their own continent, but we can see that this too will change, there is hope. After that, an old white grandfather plays soccer with his grandson and some fat white dudes in a friendly soccer game, this part is already written, think what you want. That’s when the Arab boy comes refreshingly, blowing the trumpet at home, and then with a lofty change from next to the stadium.
We are approaching catharsis, important messages continue to arrive. Anyone who knows football knows that African countries often failed to achieve major success in world tournaments even with very good players, something was missing. Later, we saw more and more that European coaches were called as national team captains to lead their national teams, who were able to knead these national teams into a more effective unit and a more tactically serious team through their experience and knowledge. Well, that’s over UEFA apologized for this atrocity in this advertisement, which seems to have evoked for them the darkest hours of colonialism. Because now European football is presented to us as in front of the magnetic board, a black-scarred coach explains to the extremely colorful women’s team what they should do on the field. I imagine how the Arab judge wearing the hijab is waiting for this big colorful mixture outside, and they kneel together before Allah for a prayer before the soccer game. Let’s say somewhere in London, Berlin or Paris. Because in Europe, Christianity is the only thing to be ashamed of, we have to keep to ourselves not to offend the Muslims who settle here, since the muezzin starts the parade even in Liverpool’s stadium. Would that be Europe?
UEFA also thought about people with physical disabilities, which is really a normal gesture, since football really belongs to everyone, the message of this can be easily included in a video or advertisement promoting football, but the tones and accents should be taken care of. It’s just icing on the cake that there are no white people among the soccer players with amputated legs, because nothing bad can happen to them, they are the rich elite who even have soccer balls made of sausages. Let’s not forget that we are talking about Europe, European football and culture, this advertisement shows us what Europe is like, or rather, how they want to make it, and from this point of view it is amazingly instructive.
Apart from the white grandfather and his grandson, the white man is only counted in one segment in advertising: he is weeding grass on the soccer field. You can still do this. Yet.
Can you imagine the same in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Algeria or vice versa in any Muslim country? When the white-skinned people carrying the huge cross show the locals kneeling in the corner with downcast eyes, not wearing turbans and hijabs, of course, out of respect for Christians, what life is like after Sunday mass? Somehow I don’t see this peaceful, inclusive picture in front of me. But in Europe, yes, where we have to hide our own traditions, culture and religion, we have to bow down to the conquerors brought here, and religion is a private matter only if you are not a Muslim. Even now, UEFA showed us in a well-executed, forward-looking advertisement that football is no longer the same.
And what if you don’t like it? First of all, you are racist, not accepting. It’s not like you have a different opinion, that this is not a happy future for you, and you don’t even want your past to be rewritten. NO other opinions. Not possible. If you don’t like the line-up, drag it to the moon, but they will come after you to enlighten you. Because we need diversity here. If you ask where the whites are, you have already fallen into the racist trap, because you must be asking because you hate blacks, Arabs, everyone. Not because you’re at home and it’s a little weird what you see being sold as reality.
We Hungarians have made it clear that this is not the future we envision for ourselves and our children, and I have a feeling that, despite the 0-24 brainwashing, the majority of Europeans do not think the current trend is salutary either. But by being outraged, writing articles, drawing attention, nothing changes. This requires will and action to stop this madness. The first small step will be the EP elections on June 9, but if the right-wing gets stronger throughout Europe, the problems will not be solved even then. It takes a lot of honest work to really build a fairer and more peaceful future. Because it isn’t.
