Al-Marsad newspaper: The trafficking spokesman, Colonel Mansour Al-Shakrah, explained that the modification of study hours for schools and universities and the transformation of “remote” work for some government agencies will be discussed to deal with the traffic congestion in Riyadh.
He said in an interview with Al-Ikhbariya channel that the Public Security Directorate, represented by the General Traffic Department, in the presence of the Director of Public Security, will hold a seminar with the participation of relevant authorities entitled “Traffic Densities and Proposals Operational Solutions” to discuss the challenges of traffic density on the city’s road network. He continued, “This seminar is expected to come out with many recommendations that help increase traffic safety on roads, maintain road safety and possible solutions for smooth traffic flow.
Regarding the axes that will be included in the workshop, the traffic spokesperson said, “Building an operating model for ring roads and highways, restudiding the mechanism of traffic signals and benefiting from the experience of the Royal Commission for the Development of Riyadh in reactivation of some roads during the Riyadh Metro project.
He added: It also supports the ability to work remotely for some companies, institutions and government agencies, changing the times of some schools and universities and other possible solutions.
