Al-Marsad newspaper: Nutritionist Dr. Ibrahim Al-Arifi revealed the validity of the saying “Winter is Abu Ashawain.”
Al-Arifi said, during his talk on Al-Ikhbariya channel: “The nights in winter are long, so some people get hungry, and the frequent outings and walks make people’s appetites increase, and therefore it is possible for the weight to increase to 3 kilos in the winter.”
He added: The problem is in people who suffer from obesity, and a person may be hungry due to conditions such as low blood sugar.
He continued: There is no problem with a person eating, but he must exercise. In the winter, exercise is neglected due to the cold, and if one eats foods full of calories, there must be movement.
He concluded: Drinking water is also important because some people neglect it in the winter. The body needs water whether in summer or winter, and therefore clots increase in winter due to not drinking water and lack of movement.

Nutritionist Dr. Ibrahim Al-Arifi: This saying is true because of the long nights. We warn of the frequent blood clots in the winter due to lack of drinking water.#Nahar_Bulletin#News pic.twitter.com/bvfYpDrhBF
