In the United States launched a bot for self-examination for the presence of coronavirus

A special program will help you find out if your symptoms indicate the presence of Covid-19 or if you simply panic.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) – a federal agency under the US Department of Health – in collaboration with Microsoft Azure computing service, developed a bot named Clara to help you check for SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus without leaving your home and get timely contact for help to doctors.

As reported on the microsoft company’s blog, a special program uses artificial intelligence technology and allows you to analyze the symptoms of Covid-19. The purpose of the development is to facilitate the work of health authorities, in particular СDC, to reduce the burden on doctors, who will thereby be able to devote more time to really seriously ill patients in need of emergency care.

The creators of the bot warn that it is not intended for final diagnosis or self-medication: the user answers questions about what signs of the disease he has, and then the program gives recommendations whether he needs urgent medical care or not.

Unfortunately, Clara is available only to residents of the United States, where, according to the latest data, more than 39 thousand infected are registered. In addition, the United States is in the top 10 in the number of deaths from Covid-19: 467 people have already died there (99 of them in New York).

Technology is doing its utmost to help humanity triumph over the new coronavirus pandemic: for example, American engineers announced the development of the FluSense system for monitoring coughing and sneezing in crowded places, and Chinese specialists created an algorithm for recognizing faces in medical masks.

Well, if you want to calculate your “chances” to die from Covid-19, then follow this link.
