In the United States, Generation Alpha is more addicted to TikTok than Gen Z

Although they may be too young to use social media, 10-15 year olds spend more time on TikTok than their elders, 16-18 year olds!

While they use multiple apps, young users divide their time differently across platforms. According to the latest report of QustodioGen Z Americans spend an average of 108 minutes per day on TikTok. However, 16-18 year-olds are not the most active on the social network. While the platforms officially prohibit the creation of accounts for children under 13, younger people happily circumvent this rule. While the Alpha generation of 13-15 year olds spends an average of up to 127 minutes per day on the app, 10-12 year olds are almost on par, with 121 minutes. This is a considerable amount of time spent online, to the detriment of certain video games such as Minecraft or other activities.

47% of 13-15 year-olds cite TikTok among their favorite applications compared to 42% of 16-18 year-olds. While Byte Dance’s social network may not be the most popular, it is the one that retains its Generation Z users the longest.

52% of 13-15 year olds prefer Roblox, the online video game platform, with an average of 138 minutes of use per day. The same is true for 10-12 year olds, with 143 minutes spent on Roblox, cited by 62% of them.

Snapchat is now much less popular among 13-15 year olds (38%) and 16-18 year olds (39%), but remains among the most used apps each day. Expect 91 minutes for Gen Z and 94 minutes for Gen Alpha, respectively their second and third most used apps each day.
