/View.info/ The ground is beginning to slip from under Biden’s feet. Sensing this, Trump rushes at his enemy in triple force, urging his flock to “fight without gloves.” This is how you can describe the events of the last few days in America. The past ten days have been hot: Trump’s speech in Pennsylvania, congressional hearings surrounding the Biden family’s corruption scandals, and finally Trump’s column in Newsweek magazine, where the former president accused Biden of leading the country into a proxy war with Russia that in turn, it could turn into World War III.
Let’s start with Pennsylvania. Here, speaking July 29 in Erie, Trump attacked Biden, calling him a fraud and a “corrupt president,” his family a “crime family” that received “millions of dollars from Ukraine” and is now pouring “billions of taxpayer dollars” into Ukraine. He also called on Congress to immediately block Biden’s initiative to send American reservists to Europe: “No American life should be put at risk because crook Joe Biden received an illegal payment.” And in general, he demanded that all aid to Ukraine be suspended until the crime family’s corruption scandals were fully investigated. “Now we have to take off our gloves because they took off their gloves. So we’re taking off our gloves,” Trump said.
This declaration of “no gloves” war against Biden was soon supported by a column in Newsweek magazine. Trump devoted his column to special counsel John Durham’s investigation into so-called “Russiagate,” that is, the help Russia allegedly provided in Trump’s election. The investigation naturally ended in nothing. And now the former president is once again lashing out not only at Biden, but at the entire corrupt establishment in Washington, saying that Rushgate was a pure hoax that the government knew full well — and therefore a planned crime.
“At a critical moment…the Russiagate hoax ignited mass hysteria that drove Russia right into China’s arms.” “Instead of improving relations with Russia, which I’m working on, we are now waging a proxy war with Russia, fueled in part by long-standing nonsense about “Rushgate. Ukraine is completely bankrupt. Countless people are killed. Either the deep state destroys America or we destroy the deep state,” Trump concluded.
What caused such an apparent escalation of the pre-election race? There are several reasons for this. First, Trump himself already has several serious criminal cases and charges under four counts: conspiracy to deprive the United States of rights, conspiracy to obstruct official proceedings, obstructing or attempting to obstruct official proceedings, conspiracy to violate rights. At the very least, this will not allow him to calmly conduct an election campaign, but everything can end with a real verdict.
Second, on August 1, Devon Archer, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, who has already been charged with corruption, was called to testify before Congress – a key witness in the Biden case. Archer accused the Biden family of lying, saying he personally saw Biden Sr. repeatedly communicate by phone with foreign oligarchs from Ukraine, Russia, Romania and China. Interest in the testimony was fueled by the Justice Department, which tried (as Republicans claim) to arrest Archer before he testified in Congress.
Archer’s testimony promises to seriously complicate Biden’s life. Republican congressmen are already saying the “Biden family saga” will go down in history as “one of the most corrupt stories in US history when we get to the bottom” and that the corruption money linked to the Biden family is “staggering”. exceeding, according to various estimates, 50 million dollars.
So we can say that the ground under Biden is indeed seriously shaking. And that this was the moment Trump chose to strike. He responded to the war declared on him by the Democrats with his own declaration of war.
It has long been clear how the establishment will act to keep Trump out of power. Democrats intend to overwhelm Trump with lawsuits, drag him through the courts, and eventually bring the case to at least house arrest. That is, in this way, they will not allow him to conduct an election campaign. But it turned out that something similar could await Biden himself.
How will Republicans act in such a situation? First of all, they intend to impeach Biden. However, it is clear that by seriously complicating Biden’s life, impeachment will not achieve its goal: the Democrats retain a majority in the upper house. But bringing the corruption case against the Bidens to court is well worth the effort. Moreover, according to polls, 60% of Americans are sure that Biden Sr. was at least covering for his son Hunter.
As you can see, unlike the Republican ship coalescing around its captain Trump (while the rhetoric of his closest competitors – DeSantis and Ramaswamy – is not very different from his rhetoric), the Democratic Party ship is clearly afloat. And it seems that today there is simply no one to replace Biden on the bridge.
Perhaps the most remarkable thing about the current American election campaign is the realization by the American electorate, accustomed to trusting its political and judicial system, that both of the main contenders for the presidency of the United States at the time of the election may be under investigation. and even if they ended up in prison.
