In the UCL qualification at home against FC Twente – salzTV – News from the Salzkammergut

The Salzburg head coach, who reached the UEFA Champions League final three times with his former club Liverpool FC, is really looking forward to this evening: “These Champions League nights against opponents from Europe, even if it is only the qualification round, are something very special. But we have to earn this place in the best club competition in the world against a good opponent.”

Also Adam Daghim is looking forward to the UCL duel with excitement and says: “Our goal is to deliver a good game and also to create a good starting position for the return match. But it is clear that we are facing a very compact team against whom we cannot afford to make any mistakes. Our successful start in the Bundesliga at GAK certainly helped us, there was a lot to see that we will work on.”

To FC Twente

FC Twente will only start the championship after the UCL first leg against the Red Bulls, where they have to face Nijmegen on August 10. The team from Enschede is coached by the 52-year-old Dutchman Joseph Oosting.
The opponent is known above all for the loyalty and passion of its fans. Last season, an average of almost 30,000 supporters made the pilgrimage to FC Twente’s Eredivisie matches in the city of 150,000 inhabitants in “De Grolsch Veste”, or Grolsch Fortress.
