The Ministry of the Environment, Housing and Territorial Planning, through the Company for Public Infrastructures and the Environment (Somacyl), today announced the tender for the drafting of the basic project for the construction of 155 collaborative public housing in rent, intended mainly for young people. , on land located in the Parque Alameda neighborhood of the city of Valladolid.

The subject of the tender is the drafting of a basic project for the development of rented collaborative housing for young people on a plot of land in the Parque Alameda neighborhood, in Valladolid, being transferred from the Municipality to the Junta de Castilla y León over a period of 50 years, details the autonomous department through a statement sent to Europa Press.

The institution estimates that it will be able to build about 155 homes with a maximum usable area of ​​60 square meters, which will have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. In addition, the building will have common spaces for laundry and coworking; There will be a designated area for bicycle parking and the roof will be used by the community for leisure and recreation.

Once the works have been completed, these homes will be ready to become part of the public rented housing stock managed by the Authority, mainly aimed at young people under 36 years of age.

This race is part of a larger program. The Ministry of the Environment, Housing and Spatial Planning is managing the construction of new buildings for the supply of approximately 1,085 housing units in buildings distributed in the main municipalities of Castilla y León.

These are detached houses in urban areas, with a usable area of ​​60 m2 (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room and kitchen), to be built on endowment land sold by the Municipalities, with which it is intended to facilitate the independence of young people with a first job, the sharing of common spaces, such as the laundry, leisure spaces and parking for bicycles, which improve coexistence and adapt to the new needs of this segment of the population, and the shared payment of basic services.

All this transforms this housing typology into places that facilitate youth emancipation with decent and quality housing models and the responsible use of natural and energy resources. In short, places that generate obvious social, economic and environmental benefits, adds the information.

PRICES AND CONDITIONS

The rental price of these houses will fluctuate between 300 and 350 euros, indicatively – with annual updating according to the percentage variation of the CPI-. Likewise, the Council must finish its work by 30 June 2026.

As regards the conditions of the tenants, they must have their habitual and permanent residence in the rented house, always favoring social criteria. Likewise, tenants must be registered in the public register of plaintiffs of the Junta de Castilla y León; not be a homeowner of their own property, and be up to 35 years of age. The household income must be less than five times the IPREM. Specific conditions for large families and people with disabilities are not included, the statement concludes.
