The elevator stopped below the first floor. After about 15 minutes, the family got out of the cab on their own.
In the urban-type settlement Pesochin of the Kharkiv region, an elevator in which there were four people broke off from the eighth floor. No people were hurt informs National Police on Sunday, December 5.
It is indicated that the night before, four people, including a 3-year-old child, entered the elevator, which was called to the eighth floor of an apartment building.
“It was found that while moving the elevator began to descend at high speed and stopped below the first floor. Approximately 15 minutes later, the family got out of the cab on their own. None of them were injured,” the message says.
A case was opened under the article on violation of the rules for the use of industrial products or the safe operation of buildings and structures (part 1 of article 275 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The maximum punishment is up to 3 years of restriction of liberty.
Previously in Odessa, an elevator fell from the fifth floor, in which there were two passengers. Then the emergency braking worked and the cab got stuck between the fourth and third floors.
