At first glance, it is an Instagram account all that is more lambda. We find there, jumbled up, the photos of three bowls of ramen and Japanese beers, a pastrami sandwich (served with its large pickles), a feast of lobster and corn on the cob, a superb Sicilian pizza with pepperoni and fried calamari, lemon ice cream and strawberry-banana, baklava and dates… Nothing surprising on the social network, where the keywords «food» and «foodporn» have 412 million and 242 million posts respectively. But on closer inspection, the account’s posts @everycountryfoodnyc are not simple photographs of meals, published at random: each photograph immortalizes dishes typical of a country or a region of the world … while having been taken without leaving New York (United States).
