Greece is facing a heat wave, temperatures in some parts of the country are expected to soar to 43 degrees. Local meteorologists are concerned about the fatal consequences, so they issued a warning and urged caution.

People from the Épeiros region, central Greece and the Ionian and Aegean islands in particular should be on the lookout. The country has also struggled with fires in recent days.
According to meteorologists, people should avoid any activity in direct sunlight, watch the drinking regime and supervise older relatives or acquaintances.

Approximately 1,300 people died due to the heat. “This heat wave will be similar to the big deadly heat wave of the 80’s. But this time it will not have such tragic consequences, over the years we have become accustomed to higher temperatures,” said meteorologist Klearchos Marousakis.
