An important lesson

Shirly says that in the past she was very insecure about her own decisions and opinions. The problem stemmed from previous relationships and the past. At first, Shirly couldn’t make even simple decisions without asking Sanni about it.

– I feel that one of the biggest gifts you have given me is space. Space to grow into myself and become independent in a healthy way.

– When I asked you what kind of coffee maker I should buy or what kind of clothes I should wear… It was a shame that you didn’t give me that answer but said something to think for yourself. I was like, damn it, I don’t want to think for myself. I asked you because I want to know, Shirly said and Sanni replied that she remembered the situation.

Shirly says that Sanni’s blunt approach to questions eventually turned into a positive thing and an important lesson.

– It was a favor to my future self, because we didn’t develop such a dynamic that I can’t do without your opinion. It has also helped with other things in life, Shirly continued.

In Shirly’s opinion, it is good for a person to grow up alone without a relationship, but finding a healthy partner is also valuable.

Sanni and Shirly announced their relationship in the summer of 2021.
