In anticipation of its next collection organized on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 in the Etangs room in Nozay (Loire-Atlantique), the association of volunteer blood donors of Nozay and its region is launching a call for mobilization, relaying the request of the ‘French Blood Establishment (EFS).
Big needs for groups O and B
“The deconfinement combined with the May bank holidays led to a decrease in blood reserves, in particular for blood groups O and B. To give visibility to our action, Jean-Marc Paillusson has imagined a new mascot that Roland Bretécher for us manufactured. One way for us to educate donors and relaunch donations before the summer ”.
Assistant secretary Gérard Guérin insists on the new methods implemented over the past year: “The collections now take place over a full day and by appointment for donors. “
About 200 donors each time
Over the past year, each of the six blood drives will have brought together around 200 donors, “including 15 to 20 new donors at each appointment”.
