In October last year, Michael Schahine took over as the new CEO of Östersunds FK full time. Now, almost a year later, he chooses to leave his post – in the middle of the bottom battle.
ÖFK is namely table jumbo at the moment and risks leaving the Allsvenskan.
– I have reached the end of the road with ÖFK and have resigned for the club and the association’s best. It is important that a new force can join ÖFK as soon as possible and continue working, says Michael Schahine to the club’s website.
In a press release, Östersund writes that Michael Schahine, during the notice period, will continue to work with the ongoing work until a solution is in place.
– A sad message but we respect Michael’s decision, says chairman Mathias Rasteby.
ÖFK announces that the process of finding a new CEO has now been started.
