In the middle of New York: Owl rescued from Rockefeller Christmas tree | Life & Knowledge

New York – The little owl owl probably just wanted to rest when it made itself comfortable in a large spruce tree … But when the little bird left the branches again, it was in the middle of New York City!

The owl had chosen the mega-spruce (23 meters high) for its break that will shine in front of the Rockefeller Center in Manhattan from December 2nd. The (Christmas) tree was felled in a forest about 270 kilometers northwest of the Big Apple.

Workers found the dehydrated male owl while building the eleven-ton tree and named it “Rockefeller”. Media from all over the world reported on it. The owl is now a world star!
